Welcome to the South Coast DTP
Our Welcome & Induction Event is the start of your time with the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership, and the one day in the year when the whole new cohort, their supervisors and the wider SCDTP team are in the same room. It is deliberately a sociable day as well as an informative one: you will leave knowing who we are, what the partnership can do for you, and, just as importantly, who is sitting alongside you for the next few years.
The programme moves from introductions and networks of support in the morning, through the practicalities of rights, responsibilities and training planning after lunch, to Research in Practice, thematic clusters and the opportunities open to you across the partnership.

Practical details
- Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the day.
- Please tell us about any dietary requirements and any access or support needs on the induction form – this is how we make sure the day works for everyone.
- Parking at Highfield Campus can be arranged, but we need your vehicle registration in advance. Add it to the form or email us.
- Garden Court is in Building 40 on the Highfield Campus; signs will direct you from the main entrance on the day.
