What:
Artificial Intelligence is the latest hot technology that seems to be impacting all parts of our lives. But moving beyond research specifically creating or developing AI, is it ethical to also use AI as a research tool? Can AI be used to design research, review research, conduct research or write about research? This in person session will support you to explore these key issues of our time.
The facilitator:
Dr Simon Kolstoe, is Associate Professor of Bioethics at the University of Portsmouth, chair of the MOD Research Ethics Committee (MODREC), UK representative of the NATO human research ethics task group, chair of the UKHSA Research Ethics & Governance Group, and a long time chair and member of HRA (NHS) RECs. His work looks at the role of research ethics, governance and integrity in promoting research standards.
