About the Masterclass

The day brings together scholars from across the discipline to discuss how population research measures and explains inequalities in health, mortality, fertility, family life, migration and ageing. Sessions combined research presentations with reflections on building an academic career. The first edition, in November 2025, brought together over 30 PhD students and 10 faculty from across the UK.
