Overview

Join the 16th EMCA Doctoral Network Meeting at King’s College London. This is the sixteenth in a series of workshops for doctoral students undertaking research in the allied fields of ethnomethodology and conversation analysis. Over two days you will meet peers in a supportive environment, receive feedback on your own project in the format most useful to you, join reading groups on key debates in the field and develop your EMCA skillset. The keynote speaker is Monica Simone (University of Basel).

Following the last EMCA Doctoral Network Meeting in London, 90% of participants strongly agreed (and 100% agreed) that they would recommend the doctoral network meeting to other EMCA PhD students.

Outcomes

The meeting will enable you to:

✓ Meet and engage with peers in a supportive environment
✓ Discuss and receive feedback on your project in the format most useful to you (data session, presentation, etc.)
✓ Explore key debates in the field through reading groups
✓ Develop your EMCA skillset
