CALLING APPLICANTS FROM UNDER-REPRESENTED GROUPS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This year for the first time the SCDTP will be advertising project-led studentships with a specific focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and that are likely to attract applicants from under-represented groups. These projects have been put forward by supervisors from a range of social science disciplines. We are excited by the range of EDI topics and social science methods they will involve. We hope that our new call will contribute towards our bigger aspiration of being a still more inclusive and diverse DTP with students joining us from a range of different backgrounds. We believe that a more diverse DTP, both in research topics and our students, will benefit all of us in developing our global and EDI mindsets.
