The South Coast DTP cohort meet for monthly training. Training opportunities focus on professional development and the skills needed for achieving impact, knowledge exchange, collaboration, internationalisation and cultural awareness, ethics, employability, and equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The training responds to the students’ Training/Development Needs Analysis and workshops on this together with a research conversation tool support students and supervisors in making this meaningful. The tool can be accessed from this link.
High profile events such as the student-organised final year conference, an annual residential trip, and collaborative workshops with discipline-specific learned societies or our non-academic partners further ensure students are prepared for work inside and outside of academia.
