The South Coast DTP cohort as a whole will meet for monthly training. This will focus on professional development and the skills needed for achieving impact, knowledge exchange, collaboration, internationalisation and cultural awareness, ethics, employability, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
High profile events such as a final year conference, the student-led SCDTP Research Methods Festival, an annual residential trip and collaborative workshops with discipline-specific learned societies or our Non-Academic Partners will further ensure students are prepared for work inside and outside of academia.
In recognition of the pressures and challenges of PGR study, the annual Induction event, attended by new and continuing students, will discuss forms of, and access to, support for students.
