We’re delighted to share that SCDTP student Shilpy Bhat (University of Southampton) has published the first peer-reviewed output from her PhD research in Wearable Technologies (Cambridge University Press).

The open-access article, “Mapping the evidence on occupational exoskeleton use for the workforce in healthcare, social care, and industry: A systematic scoping review,” examines the current evidence on the use and implementation of occupational exoskeletons across healthcare, social care, and industrial settings. This publication represents an important milestone in Shilpy’s doctoral research on occupational exoskeletons in adult social care.

Reflecting on the publication, Shilpy shared:

This publication represents the first peer-reviewed output from my doctoral work on understanding the implementation of occupational exoskeletons in adult social care. I would like to thank the SCDTP for the studentship and continued support that have made this work possible.
