How to apply

Our call for applications for studentships commencing in 2024/25 is now open.

The deadline for applications is 17:00 (GMT) on 19th January 2024.

 

Application Procedure

 

The application procedure requires applicants to complete two forms:

    • one application form must be submitted to the host institution for the programme of study under the Eligible Disciplinary Pathways. Applicants applying for 1+3.5 funding should apply to the masters programme; applicants applying for 3.5 and 4.5 funding should apply to the PhD programme; and
    • one application form must be submitted to the South Coast DTP for the studentship. This application requires student ID input. If you do not have one you may use the application reference from the host institution application.

Both forms must be submitted before the deadline (17:00 (GMT) 19th January 2024) for the application to be considered.

  • The first application form you need to complete is for your chosen programme of study at your chosen partner institution.

(Please ensure your chosen discipline is accredited for funding at your chosen institution in accordance with list of eligible disciplinary pathways here )

*Please note that applicants to University of Southampton will not have access to the online application system of University of Southampton between 25 November 2023 – 26 November 2023, and 27 December 2023 – 1 January 2024 inclusive due to essential maintenance work.

 

 

  • The second application form which requires completion is the South Coast DTP Funding Application Form.
